Honeysuckle and the Golden Globe Awards
Did you watch the Golden Globe Awards show last night? Everywhere I looked yesterday was a sea of colour on the red carpet…..so nice not to see just basic ‘sometimes too-boring’ black. What got me really excited was all the gorgeous variations of the colour Honeysuckle – Pantone’s Colour of the year for 2011!
Let’s take a peak at some of the looks from the brightest to the lightest hues of honeysuckle!
Bold & bright!
Mixed in pattern!
To the palest of pinks!
So how can you interpret this colour into your home decor for spring? Well, if you absolutely love colour and you have a bold personality then why not try painting your walls in this gorgeous colour!
I think it looks very chic and glamorous – especially paired with glossy white or lucite furniture pieces! Oh la la!!!

If not the walls, than how about one statement piece like your sofa!!
If not the sofa, than how about a couple of occasional chairs in a bold floral pattern such as the ones above by Sarah Richardson or these ones below from Mercantonio Designs
Still no? All right, than how about some toss cushions for the sofa…could you handle this? I know I could!

I chose not to play fashion police in today’s blog…….and trust me it was very difficult to hold back on some catty remarks. Let’s just say none of the gowns above were my favourites……although I didn’t mind Claire Dane’s gown by Calvin Klein due to its simplicity.
However, my favourite gown of the night was hands down Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Privé….now that is pure glam. A GLAMSLAM!!!
If your home is craving some glamour, then contact me online or in person! I’d love to help!
Glamorously yours,
Christine

I love Nathalie Merchant’s dress.. so unexpected! I’m still on the fence about the honeysuckle “colour of the year”.. I much prefer a shot of Magenta.. I find there is too much yellow in the honeysuckle….. Its nice as an small accent though:)
Great post Christine! I loved how you weaved in some pics from the furniture show. I liked the simplicity of Claire Danes dress as well.
